Tom and I drove to Chicago to visit his brother, whom
moved there to be with his girlfriend.
Tom's nephew came down from up north to join us on the trip. At the
time, Tom was without a car, and I didn't want to put the miles on my
new Mustangs. Also, I was concerned the Escort would not make it there
and back without issues. So, I rented a car from the airport on our
way East. I originally reserved a Jaguar S-Type, because I've always
wanted one; they rented them out. So, I settled for the Jaguar X-Type
2.0. Not quite as high-end, but very nice nonetheless.
The car they gave me was brand new; it only had 11 actual miles on it!
Hehe, I would break it in. The car was equipped with Hertz Never Lost
GPS system, which was so worth the car rental in and of itself. By the
time I returned the car, it had over 1100 miles on it. :)
Trip to the Sears Tower
Amazing view. Well worth the experience.
More Chicago
Overall, I loved Chicago. I would go back to visit the
Navy Pier alone!!! The Pier has so much to see and do, I loved it. I
would like to return to see more of the city, as well. The toll roads
were strange, but not too bad. Minneapolis will be full of toll roads
soon, too, I'll bet. The GPS system made navigating wherever we wanted
to go really easy! However, Chicago-ans are not very friendly. I guess
there is no Minnesota-nice in Illinois!
